Janet Mae (Gorman) DeCiantis, 79, died on Saturday (August 25, 2012) at 7:15 pm of natural causes at Hartford Hospital, with her children by her side. Janet was born on August 5, 1933 in Manchester, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Dorothy Gorman, formally of 691 Porter St. Manchester. Janet was also predeceased by her husband Anthony F. DeCiantis who died on December 15, 1972 and was one of the brothers who owned and operated DECI'S Drive-In on Center St.in Manchester. Janet was a friend to everyone, liked driving and loved the beach. She is survived by her brother Albert Gorman, Jr. of Manchester and three children; Leann M. DeCiantis of Manchester, Anthony David DeCiantis and his wife Donna of South Windsor and Michael W. DeCiantis and his wife Marcy of Manchester. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Tuesday (8/28) evening from 5:00-8:00 and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 - 11:00. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 at the funeral home.
