Obituary of Michael Botticello
Michael A. Botticello Sr., 57, of Manchester, beloved husband of Gina M. (Cecchini) Botticello died Wednesday (October 26, 2011) at Hartford Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on Saturday (October 22, 2011). Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Anthony and Constance (Call) Botticello and was a lifelong resident of Manchester. He was a 1971 graduate of East Catholic High School. Mike always had a great love of sports. He especially enjoyed coaching Manchester Sentinals Pop Warner Football, Manchester Rec Basketball, and Little League Baseball. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children and grandchildren whom he adored, Dr. Amanda Botticello and her husband James Nyez of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Bridget (Botticello) Blake and her husband Scott of Coventry, Michael A. Botticello Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Stephanie Blake of Manchester, and Vito Botticello of Manchester; and his grandchildren Sofia and Samuel Nyez. He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Botticello of Suffield, Robert Botticello and Richard Botticello of Manchester, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Friday (October 28th) from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:30 at the Church of the Assumption 27 Adams St. South, Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
