Sandra L. Passcantell, 65, the beloved wife of Thomas F. Passcantell, to whom she was married in 1974, died on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Manchester the daughter of Donald and Roberta (McCabe) Jackson and graduated from Manchester High School, Class of 1970. Sandy formerly worked as a civilian with the US Navy and retired from the Manchester Police Department as a dispatcher. She was a volunteer at the DeQuattro Cancer Center. Sandy also had a great love of animals especially for her many pets. At the time of Tom's retirement from the Manchester Police Department he and Sandy moved to Tennessee to enjoy the Smokey Mountains and the easy going life style. They opted to return to CT so that they could be closer to family and currently resided in Vernon. Besides Tom, she is survived by her son Nicholas Passcantell and his wife Christine of Manchester; her daughter Jessica Cruz and her husband Brian of Vernon; her grandchildren Olivia and Delaney Passcantell and Jasmine Cruz; her sisters Jolene Pelletier of Manchester and Karen Moya of FL and several nieces and nephews. Sandy's family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the staffs at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and St. Francis Hospital for the exceptional care they provided.
