Obituary of Ann E. Kiniry

Ann E. Kiniry, 91, the wife of the late Joseph T. Kiniry , whom she was married to for fifty-five years died on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Touchpoints of Manchester. Born in Hartford, Ann was the daughter of John and Anna (Sullivan) Lawton and had lived in East Hartford for fifty-five years. She was an accomplished organist having played at St. Isaac Jogues Church, East Hartford from 1965 -1995 and performing at numerous events. Ann was a founder of Depression Anonymous located at Manchester Community College. She is survived by her children Kelly Meuser and her husband Christopher of Simsbury, Mary Duggan and Ted Johnson of Wethersfield and Christopher Kiniry and his wife Maureen of Glastonbury and her grandchildren Christopher and Patrick Meuser of Simsbury and Shannon Kiniry of Glastonbury. She is also survived her sisters-in-law Nancy Lawton of Foley, Alabama the wife of the late Barry Lawton and Shirley Lawton of South Windsor, the wife of the late John Lawton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13th at 9:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at St. Isaac Jogues Church 1 Community St. East Hartford with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00. Memorial donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund P.O. Box 32141 New York, NY 10087-2141.
