Noel P. Geoghegan, 58, of Manchester died on August 23, 2017 at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. Noel was born in Dublin, Ireland, the son of Richard and Rose (Claffey) Geoghegan. Noel was a long-time member of the Irish American Home in Glastonbury. He enjoyed playing golf at Tallwood Country Club in Hebron, and was a member of the Army/Navy Dart team in Manchester. Noel is survived by his children; Kelly Rose Geoghegan of Quincy, MA, and Kevin Edgar Geoghegan. He is also survived by his siblings; Mary Caffrey and her husband Gerry, Lily Geoghegan, John Geoghegan and his wife Marion, Richard Geoghegan and his wife Teri, and Pauline Fitzgerald and her husband Desmond, all of Ireland, Una Giachinta and her husband Tony of Leesburg, VA and P.J Geoghegan, also of Ireland; his former wife Martha Geoghegan, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Noel on Tuesday, August 29th at St. James Church, 896 Main St, Manchester, at 11:00. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester, has care of the arrangements.
