Tammy, I am just so sorry about Steve. Eric and I are saddened to learn of his passing and hold all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Steve and Eric crossed paths on football many of times and enjoyed their rivalry. The funniest memory we have of Steve is when Eric won a Jets memorabilia beer mug with a Jets key chain. When I asked Eric what he is going to do with a Jets beer mug since he is an avid Buffalo Bills fan? He proudly announced I am going to give it to Steve! He walked next door and when Steve opened the door Eric said Here this is for you and your "Yets" - they got a good laugh over this. I hope this memory makes you all smile because he is looking down smiling at all of you as he watches over safely guarding the family he exuded love for every day!

I have so many fabulous stories about Steve, but my all time favorite is the duckling story. We were working at the Farmington Marriott and a duck had ducklings in the outdoor pool area which was in an enclosed outdoor court. The hotel contacted an animal friendly organization who came and captured the entire family, minus one. One of the ducklings escaped capture and couldn't be found, this really upset Steve. Many people from the hotel kept a look out for the duckling and it was finally located and caught by Steve.
We contacted the organization and found out that they released the duck family at nearby Battison Park.
Next thing I know, Steve and I, dressed in business attire are breaking into the park to reunite the duckling with his family. It was very hard to let the cute little duckling go, but we knew it was the right thing to do. Initially the duckling went to the wrong family and was being attacked. I looked over at Steve and he was heading towards the water to rescue the baby. He was just about to jump in, suit and all, when the duckling's mom came swimming in to rescue her baby.
Steve and I laughed throughout this crazy experience, concerned we might be arrested, but it was worth that chance. He was so happy that the duckling was reunited with their family, that shows his unbeliveably caring side.
Thinking of all my interactions with Steve, puts a smile on my face. He was a very special individual and will be missed, but his memory will shine through and continue to put a smile on all our faces.
My prayers and thoughts are with Tammy, his girls and his family! Betty Ann
