Mona April Tomaso, 61, of Columbia died peacefully at home on July 10, 2017. Mona was born in Hartford, CT, July 12, 1955, the daughter of Peter J. and Helen J. (Halstead) Tomaso. She had retired from American Airlines after more than 35 years of service as a flight attendant. Mona is survived by the many friends she had at American Airlines, who were like family to her; her brother Mark Tomaso, and his wife Karen, of Columbia, CT; her nieces, Teresa Brown and her husband Jeff and Genoveva Person and her husband Eric; and her great-niece and nephews Anthony, Cianna, Colten, Nick and Eric III. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 10 a.m. at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
