James E. Foye, 80, of Manchester, the husband of Ruth (Lamprecht) Foye died on Friday (August 10, 2012) AT Manchester Memorial Hospital. James was born in Hartford the son of James H. and Margaret (O'Rourke) Foye and had lived in Manchester for many years. He was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War and had retired from the Hartford Electric Light Co. His special interests included being an avid classic car enthusiast, owning one of his own, a long time season ticket holder for the Wolf Pack and was a huge fan of UCONN women's basketball. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters Donna Foye of Manchester, Janice Mahoney and her husband Robert of Vernon and Kathleen Moser and her husband James of St. Petersburg, FL.; his grandchildren April Mahoney and Robert Mahoney, Jr. He is also survived by his nephew Edward Parsons, his very close friend David Grasso and his beloved pet Cindy. James was also predeceased by his sisters Mary Parsons and Patricia Foye. Funeral service and burial will be private. Those wishing may make memorial donations to a charity of the donors choice.
