Patricia 'Pat' (Damato) Reid (74) beloved wife of the late Donald Reid, passed from this life on Saturday (April 22, 2017) at Manchester Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Manchester, CT, daughter of the late Rena and Louis Damato. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester and every Wednesday she'd chaperone for the MARC, Inc. bowling league in Vernon. Pat and Don enjoyed cruising down the Connecticut River on their pontoon boat, vacationing at White Sands, taking trips to the Casino and spending time with family and friends. Her sister, son, grandson and great-grandchildren (whom all resided with her) brought much joy and happiness into her life. Pat was always the 'go to girl' for family and friends. Whether you needed a shoulder to cry on, someone to share great news with, or a caregiver for an ailing family member, Pat was always there. She is survived by her sister, Debbie Damato; her son Richard Reid; her grandson Michael Reid and Heather Arruda; three great-grandchildren, Mikey Reid, Olivia Arruda, and Mason Reid; a niece, Jill Knowlton; special friends & relatives Pat O'Brien, Linda Bower, Jan & John Wegrzyn, Madelyn and Amber and numerous cousins. Pat was predeceased by her newborn son, Donald Reid II; her parents Rena and Louis Damato; her soulmate & beloved husband, Donald Reid; and her brother Louis 'Bro' Damato II. The Reid family would like to express their gratitude to Pat's Hospice Nurse at Manchester Memorial Hospital, who went above and beyond to make sure that she and her family were comfortable and fully informed.
