Michael James Martin, 66 of Columbia, CT peacefully went home to be with the Lord on April 25th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Hartford, CT on October 4th, 1950 to the late James P. Martin Jr and late Lucille T. (Waclawski) Martin. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1968 and continued on to receive an Associate Accounting degree from Manchester Community College. Michael married the love of his life and best friend, Carol Ann on June 19th, 1971. Michael had a gift for making each person he encountered feel special. He had a beautiful generous spirit and a compassionate heart. He loved to read his Bible and pray. He was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church of Manchester for over 40 years. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Ann (Perkins) Martin of Columbia, loving daughters Christa Martin of Hebron & Kimberly (Martin) Watson and husband Michael of Hebron and grandchildren Kelsey, Michael, Matthew, Ryan, Katelyn and Kylie, all who always made his heart smile. He is also survived by two brothers, Brian J. Martin and wife Daryll of Manchester, and John J. Martin and wife Jane of West Hartford, his adoring mother-in-law, Arline Perkins of Manchester, and special to his heart Joyce Clarke, Rachael Snow and their sons as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cherished extended family. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen (Martin) Norwood. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29th at 9:30 a.m. at the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church 745 Main Street Manchester, CT followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
