William F. Ryan, Jr., 79, of Manchester, the husband of 51 years to his beloved wife Deborah (Bristol) Ryan died Friday, April 21, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. He was the son of the late William and Catherine Ryan, grew up in East Hartford and had lived in Manchester for many years. He was a US Army veteran and had worked at Lynch Toyota for many years. In addition to his loving wife, "My Debbie," he is survived by his son Gregory; his brother Neal Ryan and his wife Betty Ann; his sister-in-law Becky Grose; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, who he loved, Darby. In addition to his parents Bill was predeceased by his infant son "Little Billy." Bill's family would like to offer a special thanks to the Intensive Care Unit at Hartford Hospital for their kindness and care. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27th at 10:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption 29 Adams St. South, Manchester followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
