Obituary of Joan Topping
Joan B. Topping (Bandro), 76, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late William J. Topping, Jr. passed away Saturday (October 22, 2011) after a long illness. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA March 15, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Jozef and Regina (Siemienski) Bandrotchak and was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Until choosing to dedicate her life to her family, Joan had been employed by the Traveler's and Willies Steakhouse. She is survived by her children Thomas M. Topping of Manchester, John D. Topping of Manchester and his longtime companion Christine Hopkins, Constance M. Topping of Manchester and Cathy A. Topping of Manchester. She is also survived by her uncle Stanley Sieminski, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Linda and her sister Gloria Gueller. Joan's family would like to offer a special thanks to the Vernon VNA Hospice Nurses, the Town of Manchester Fire Department and Fionnuala Purcell, for their compassion and care throughout Joan's illness. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (October 26th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
