Deborah Noblin, 65, of Manchester passed away Thursday March 2nd, 2017 in her home. Deborah was born in New London CT December 9th 1952 to Irma Noblin. Deborah worked for the Hartford Courant in the Advertising Department as a Graphic Designer for 36 years and retired from the company in 2015. Deborah enjoyed her retirement by spending time with her family, volunteering, mentoring, and advocating for social justice. She volunteered and belonged to several organizations/ programs such as: Women's Diversity & Inclusion, CT Democratic Party, Training 2 Work, Justice for Us, Stand Up for Racial Justice, BLM and Women's March on Washington and Connecticut. She was survived by her two children and six grandchildren; her son Hakim Montgomery (39), her daughter Alyssa Betts (27), granddaughter Amani Montgomery, and grandsons Kahil Montgomery, Malik Montgomery, Hakim Montgomery Jr, Jalil Montgomery, and Qadir Montgomery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 9th, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 2:00 p.m.
