Robert spent much of his life in Manchester, Connecticut, where he attended high school. After graduating high school he studied at Lehigh University and Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. Currently, his former wife, Dorothy, and both children are living in Connecticut. He also leaves behind a younger sister and her husband, Miriam and Larry Lanata, of Vermont and many cousins and other relatives. He is pre-deceased by his father and mother, Richard S. Olmsted and Margaret R. Olmsted. Our entire family would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Amy Thompson for her many years of special care and supervision. We as well thank Robert for his gifts of love, creative expression, artistic achievements made throughout his life and selfless nature. He was a man of brilliance, fortitude, kindness, compassion, authenticity, vitality and perseverance. He came into our world to do a great work and to bring about magnificent realities. Both he did. His touch upon our lives and hearts will always be gently and indelibly felt. You were and are still an angel.
