Arcadio J. "Cagin" Datil, 81 of East Hartford died on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Hartford Hospital after a long and courageous battle with many illnesses. He was born August 12, 1935 in Utuado, Puerto Rico the son of Jose and Sara (Jimenez) Datil. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Mary J. (Quealy) Datil,his children Lisa M. Corrado of Manchester, CT and Arcadio Datil,Jr. and his wife Jenny of Bradenton, FL. He also leaves his grandchildren Marco and Anthony Corrado of Manchester and Kyle and Amanda Datil of Bradenton and two great grandchildren Jeremiah and Mariah and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his twin brother Jose Datil and his sisters Aida Martinez, Carmen Arroyo and Angelica Datil. Arcadio formerly worked with the Board of Education for the City of Hartford. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 9:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Assumption at 10:00, with burial in St. James cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00.
