Obituary of Delmas L. Nolin

Delmas L. Nolin, 87, husband and best friend of Lois A. (Raymond) Nolin died on Thursday February 2, 2017 in Manchester, CT. Delmas was born in Colchester, VT the son of the late Eugene and Stella Nolin, and spent the majority of his life in Manchester as a resident for over fifty years. He was an US Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he had worked at Pratt and Whitney for thirty years. After his retirement, he was a school grossing guard for 12 years. Delmas was a beloved family man and is fondly remembered for his constant foot tapping to music and his whistling, but unfortunately for his family was not very good at it. He was an avid model airplane builder and enjoyed making doll houses for his daughters and granddaughters. Besides his wife, Lois, Delmas is survived by his children; Gregory Nolin and his wife Susan, Karen VonRoemer, Debra Toner and her Fiancé Martin Roy, Lori Nolin and her husband Patrick Small, and Tammy Perez and her husband Mark, as well as eleven grandchildren and a great grandson. In addition to his parents Delmas was predeceased by his son in law James Toner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester on Saturday February 11, at 10:00 and burial will follow after the mass.
