Howard 'Howie' Arthur Hodge Saturday afternoon on January 28, 2017, Howard 'Howie' Arthur Hodge passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT surrounded by family. Born on August 31, 1939, Howard was the second of three children to the late Dorothy (Hoadley) and Leon Hodge. Married for fifty-three years, Howard is survived by his wife Mary, son Kevin, sister Lois LaPorte, sister in-law Virginia Hodge, sister in-law Marjorie Cary and her husband Jack, sister in- law Janie Bonner and her husband Tab and brother in-law Billy Garraway, and several nieces and nephews. He graduated from East Hartford High School in 1957 and enlisted in the Army stationed in Orleans, France. Howard worked at Northeast Utilities until his retirement in 2005. Howard will be remembered for his nearly fifty years of motorsports photography. In addition to his parents, Howard was predeceased by his older brother Robert and brother in-law Daniel LaPorte and sister-in-law Sarah G. Yeager. Funeral service will be held at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St., Manchester on Wednesday, February 1st at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:30-7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Victory Junction Gang Camp 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
