Obituary of Josephine Leclerc

After a life fully lived Josephine L. Leclerc 79, the wife of the late Normand E. Leclerc Sr. passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones at her side. She was born in Manchester, the daughter of Salvatore and Concetta (Conti) Leone and lived here most of her life. She is survived by her children Normand E. Leclerc Jr. and his wife Sandra of Lebanon, Deborah A. Leclerc of Manchester, Michelle L. Lewis and her husband Keith of Manchester, Robert A. Leclerc and his wife Jill of Farmington; her grandchildren Monica Arbo and her husband Dale, Valerie and Theresa Leclerc, Alyse Carter, Frank Lewis, Chase Freschlin and Samantha Leclerc and her great grandson's Noah Arbo and TJ Carter. She is also survived by her Brother in Law Henry Leclerc and his wife Nancy and her Sisters in Law Doris Leclerc and Mary Leone and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. She was also predeceased by her brothers Anthony, Thomas and William Leone and her sisters Lena Rosella and Mary Santini. Jo was a former co-owner of Vic's pizza and had retired from Webster Bank. She was a member of the St. James Church Choir. Josie went with the Church Choir to Italy and sang at the Vatican for the Pope. She enjoyed many hobbies such as traveling, crafting and cooking for her extended family. She lived for and dedicated her life to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation to Dr. Timothy Hong and his caring staff at the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, 1/28, at 10:15 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street Manchester, CT. with a Mass of Christian burial to be held at 11:00 at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester followed by burial at St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center, 85 Retreat Ave. Hartford CT, 06102 or to the Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714.
