Robert J. Feeley, 87, of Manchester, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late William and Catherine (Dean) Feeley and had lived in Manchester for most of his life. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and had retired from C. DeMartino Construction after many years of service. Robert was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, loved his time with friends at the Adams Mill, and casino trips with his best friend Carmen DeMartino. He is survived by his "nieces and nephew" Debra Caruso and her husband Mark of Windsor Locks, Jill Minnocci and her husband Sam of Windsor Locks, and Robert DeMartino of Wethersfield; many "great-nieces and nephews"; and his dear friends Barbara McNamara of Manchester and Mickey Gilbert of Oklahoma. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers and his longtime friend Carmen DeMartino. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (January 3rd) at 10:30 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption 29 Adams St. South, Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
