Lena (Previtali) Reardon, 99, beloved widow of Michael Reardon died on Monday December 26, 2016. Lena was born on October 31, 1917 to Alexander and Ida (Marketti) Previtali in Hartford, she had lived in Manchester for most of her life. She had retired from the City of Hartford Board of Education as a School Executive Assistant after 30 years of service. She enjoyed bowling with her friends from the Hartford School system, as well as traveling the world with her best friend Rose. Lee and Mike had their most enjoyable years as avid Hartford Whaler fans, she especially enjoyed rooting for her favorite player, Kevin Dineen. She was a communicant of St. Bartholomew Church, Manchester. Lena is survived by her son Michael Reardon and his wife Linda of Ellington, her grandchildren Michelle Carter of Newtown, PA, Lisa Russell and her husband Craig of South Windsor and Michael Reardon of Long Beach, CA as well as her great grandchildren Michael, Joshua and Julia Carter and Chloe and Nathan Russell; and her sister Vera Shusterman. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Sharon Scull and her husband Lynn of Hartford. In addition to her husband, Michael, Lena was predeceased by her son Kevin, and her brother Alexander Previtali. Funeral service will be held on Friday (December 30th) at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church 736 East Middle Turnpike, Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday (December 29th) from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Lena's family would like to thank the entire staff at Vernon Manor for their tireless caring effort and dedicated service.
