Obituary of William B. Hagenow

William Burton "Bill" Hagenow, 84, of Manchester, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late William K. and Gertrude (Kanehl) Hagenow, and was a lifelong resident. He retired in1995 as a Tool and Die manufacturer from Empire Tool, also having worked previously for Mal Tool, Kurtz Brothers and H+B Tool. He was a RC car and airplane enthusiast, was a member of several RC Clubs in his youth, was part of the early CB Radio community, going by "Dollar Bill", and enjoyed playing Cribbage in several leagues, most especially the Cosmic Omelet cribbage group . He is survived by his cousin Jason Hagenow and his fiancée Kimberly Furness, who were also his dear friends and neighbors, and their daughter Adeline; his adopted family James Lippo and his children Sylvia Lippo Thompson and Tanya Lippo Beebe; his nieces and nephews Vanessa Richmond, Holly Harlow, Bernadette Lastowski, Andrew Hagenow, Marita Spears, and Matthew Hagenow; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Alfred Hagenow, and sister Elizabeth "Betty" Hagenow, nephew Mark Hagenow and his dear friend Donna Lippo. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Tuesday, December 20th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
