Logan Mae Pijar the fourteen month old daughter of John F. and Melissa Mae (Mitchell) Pijar of Meriden died unexpectedly at CT Children's Hospital on Thursday (December 4, 2008). Because of Logan's energetic spirit she was loved by everyone who met her. She is now living peacefully in heaven, in her pigtails, and with her lions. Logan took nothing from this world but gave everything. She is also survived by her grandparents Mary Kay and John Pijar, Sr. of Chicopee, MA and Freda and Chauncey Mitchell II of Willimantic, CT, great grandfather Charles Slater, Jr. of Chicopee, MA., her aunts and uncles Denise Mitchell of Columbia, CT, Mary and Chauncey Mitchell III of Manchester, CT, Matthew Mitchell of ME, Amy and William Brooks of Lancaster, MA and James Pijar of Chicopee, MA; eight cousins and a large extended family. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (12/9) 10:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of the Angels celebrated 11:00 at the Church of the Assumption Adams St. South, Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7.
