Marie Blaney McCann, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late William James McCann left this world on Sunday (October 19, 2008) at her home. She was a communicant of St. Christopher's Church, East Hartford. Born in Windsor Locks, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Tracy Blaney. After moving to East Hartford she attended St. Mary School and East Hartford High School. After graduation she was employed by the State Liquor Commission until 1947. In 1966 she returned to work at the Connecticut National Bank Silver Lane office and retired from there in 1984. She is survived by her daughters Judith M. Zimmerman and Linda A. Belanger of East Hartford and her two sons William T. McCann and his wife Roxanne of Glastonbury, and Brian McCann of East Hartford, nine grandchildren; David Zimmerman and his wife Jill, Shayna M. Andrade and her husband Paul, Eric Belanger, Traci M. McCann and her friend Thomas Pearson, Jennifer M. Landry, Lindsey and Ryan McCann, Carlie and Andrew McCann, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother James E. Blaney and his wife Mary. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (October 22nd) at 11:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 W. Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 at St. Christopher Church, Brewer St. East Hartford, followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery.
