Obituary of Robert Sullivan
Robert J. "Jim" Sullivan, 86, of Manchester the husband of his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Marjory Sullivan died Saturday, September 20, 2008. Jim was born in Manchester, the son of Robert and Anna (Loney) Sullivan. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Jim was a US Coast Guard veteran of World War II and was employed for 41 years at the Abbott Ball Company. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Brenda Sullivan of Vernon and two sons, John W. Kennedy and his wife Laura of Coventry and Robert Sullivan, Jr. of Florida. Jim also leaves three grandchildren Kaitlyn and Allison Kennedy of Coventry and Matthew Kennedy of Hebron. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Karen Kennedy, his brother Wilber Sullivan of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Cecelle Emerick Sullivan, his son David Kennedy, four sisters Mabel, Maude, Sadie, Ester and his brother William. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (September 24th) 10 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial with military honors at East Cemetery Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.
