That beautiful smile will shine down on us forever. You rest in that safe place you told us about. I love you my little Shannon and I will miss you dearly. Mary, my dearest friend, if I could take the pain away I would in a heartbeat....always remember that the Lord knows what He is doing. Shannon is only one whisper away... one whisper from heaven! God Bless. Sally

When I left for college, I received a card for my wallet from Shannon. It read, "When you get a case of lonelies and you think nobody's there To love, support, and listen or to show they even care, Just reach into your pocket and pull out this little card (Nothing could be easier when life seems really hard) And every time you read it, it will help remind you, too, A very special part of me is always there with you." To this day, I still have this card in my wallet and I know it is true, there will always be a special part of Shannon with me. I miss her so much but will always hold her memory so close.

A life lived is measured by those lives that you have touched and by the smiles laughter and great memories left to many along the road of life. Shannon was taken way to soon but left so much which was truly shown over the last few days by the thousands that she touched all being there and comforting the family with a story all with a special moment, and a life long memory that which will comfort you all through this time and always.

I always knew Shannon was a special person to our family. While living out of the State of Ct for so many years I did not know how special Shannon was to many, many others until the wake service on Tuesday. There were people standing in a line that stretched for blocks west of the funeral home. They stood in line for up to 3 hours, even during the rain. The wake was supposed to be from 4pm to 8pm but it took until 10:30pm to get approximately 1800 people in to pay their last respects to Shannon. The funeral procession stretched for 1 mile, with 9 police officers directing traffic for this. Once we arrived at St. Barts the parking lot was already full. Ludlow Rd had to be closed down so the funeral procession could park (4 lanes wide). When the funeral mass started there were people standing in the back of the church as there were no more seats to sit in. This is when I realized that Shannon was so special to everyone she ever met. Shannon will always be in my thoughts and prayers, and will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Shannon. I love you. Uncle Danny

Even though I knew Shannon as teenager and young woman, the first thought I had of her when I heard the news was of a smiling, freckle-faced little girl at Buckley School. Lots of freckles and lots of smiles! Beebe family my thoughts are with you. Reading through all of these messages, it's clear that Shannon made her mark on this world and has left you with many happy and proud moments to remember and cherish. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Mark, Mary, and family. Our deepest and sincerest condolences. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. It's been a long time (‘80) yet seems like yesterday when you just put Shannon to bed only to see her little face peering back through the glass of the french doors of the bedroom on Strandt Street. Smiling, we all knew that it was only a matter of time before she would join us again . . . and she did : ) As we will again ~ Our love and prayers are with you. ~ Pam and Bill

Dear Beebe Family- While I haven't met all of you personally, I feel like I know you through the many (mostly hysterical) stories Shannon has shared with me during our 8 years together working at TEMS. I have never laughed so hard as I did during the years when Shannon was working with a young man named Anthony, and I was his P.E. teacher. We would make up dances, mostly to 80's rap and 70's disco, and try to get Anthony and the other Adapted P.E. students to do it with us. It was pretty much for our enjoyment, and most of the time I'd end up with a stomach ache from laughing so hard. That is the only way I can picture Shannon, and from the photos posted around the funeral home, I know that is how you remember her too. Please know that our school will miss her so much, and I will miss our great laughs and silly stories during lunch. The world is missing an angel today...

Shan, you took the role as the oldest cousin seriously. You knew there was a whole boat load of us looking up to you and you showed us the way. As you once told grandma "You gave me my roots now I can spread my wings and fly away" you too gave us our roots and now that you have flown away we know to follow your example (esp when it comes to organizing our closets). You were the hardest worker I know and even during hard times you had a smile on. When I used your ID in Boston (Shh dont tell Uncle Danny)and everyone said we looked so much alike I was so honored cause you are beautiful (inside and out). I will always cherish my last birthday with you when you called and said your student didnt show up and you wanted to spend the day together, that meant so much to me. You were so loyal to our family and we were so lucky to have you for 30 years but now its God's turn. I love you. Aunt Mary, Uncle Mark and rest of family, together we will all get through this. We have such an advantage over most families because we have Shannon watching over us.

Shannon was like a sister to me and the Beebe/ Boland clan was my second family. The things I will always remember and miss about Shannon is how she would laugh uncontrollably when she got nervous, how she could recite the lyrics to every Big E Smalls song ever recorded, her quick wit and famous one-liners, her OCD complexes, how she loved to dance, and her saying things like "to tell you the truth" and "supposibly." Family always came first for Shannon and I am so sorry for your loss. I will always be here for all of you. Much love and condolences.

I've been told that it will be the little things that we all remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.
