Michelle M. (Rooke) Corey, 42, of Manchester the wife of Shawn F. Corey died Monday (August 11, 2008) at her home. Born in Manchester June 11, 1966 she was the daughter of Kenneth Rooke and Marie Costanzo. She received her B.A. in Sociology from Eastern Connecticut State University. Michelle was formerly employed by the State of Connecticut as a Support Enforcement Officer in the New Britain Office and most recently worked as a Probation Officer for Manchester Adult Probation. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by her daughter Haleigh Rose Corey of Manchester, her brother Kenneth Rooke Jr. of Hampton, her dear friend Dr. Debapriya Datta and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (August 16th) at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Friday from 4-7 pm.
