Obituary of Albina Matushak

Albina (Slomski) Matushak, 86, of Manchester the wife of the late Edward A. Matushak died Wednesday (May 21, 2008) at Portland Care and Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Berlin, CT she had lived in Manchester for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. James Church. She is survived by her daughters Joanne Zywocinski and her husband Donald of Middletown and Marian Magnan and her husband David of Andover, MA; her grandchildren Kristine Zywocinski, Jaclyn Zywocinski, Stephanie Magnan Bennett, Justin Magnan and Jessica Magnan. She is also survived by her sister Florence Janeczko of Farmingon and her brother Rev. Joseph Slomski of Kansas and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Henry Slomski. Albina's family would like to thank the wonderful staff and friends who cared for her while at Portland Care and Rehab Centre, you were all very special to Albina. Funeral service will be held on Saturday (May 24th) at 9:30 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30.
