Jeannette H. (Christian) Bachand, 82, of South Windsor, the wife of the late Leo W. Bachand died Friday (May 16, 2008) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Northbridge, MA she had lived in East Hartford for many years and resided in South Windsor for the past 12 years. She was a communicant of St. Margaret Mary's Church, an avid bingo player, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her children; Carol Boyd and her husband Dennis of Christmas, FL, Janet Trantolo and her husband Raymond of Ellington, Joan Labbe and her husband Paul of Warwick, RI, Robert Bachand and his wife Cathy of Burgaw, NC, and Anne Fournier and her husband Dave of South Windsor; her grandchildren, Michael Trantolo, Melissa Trantolo, Andrew Labbe, Allyson Fournier, Rebecca Bachand, Brandon Fournier and Dylan Fournier. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Tori and Trajan Trantolo, her sister Irene Gosselin and her husband Roger of Northbridge, MA and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Jeannette was predeceased by three siblings Henry, Lorraine and George. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (May 20th) 9:30 am at St. Margaret Mary's Church 80 Hayes Road South Windsor, CT followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm.
