Obituary of Edward Jean

Edward Jean, 80, the husband of Dorothy (Sanborn) Jean to whom he would have been married for sixty years in November died on Friday (May 9th) at his home. Born in Lewiston, ME the son of Julian and Laura (Gagnn) Jean he had lived in Manchester for forty-five years. He moved to Barnstead, NH where they lived for fourteen years recently returning to Manchester. Ed retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and had been a member of the Barnstead bowling league. He is also survived by his children and their spouses Wayne E. and Debra Jean of Manchester, CT, Kathy and James Bradley of Lebanon, CT, Ken and Mary Jean of Manchester, CT and Cindy and CJ Brownlow of Bridgeton, NJ, fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and his sister Madeline Irving of Augusta, ME. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT on both Monday and Tuesday evening (May 12th & 13th) from 7-9. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:30 at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Stoddard officiating. Burial will be private.
