Rita E. DiBattisto, 82, of Manchester died on Sunday (April 13, 2008) at Manchester Manor where she had been a resident for thirty-eight years. Rita was born in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of Dominic and Rose (Solomon) DiBattisto. Rita was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney. She is survived by her sister Marie D. Pechusick of East Hartford, her brother Eugene DiBattisto of Vermont, several nieces and nephews and her Manchester Manor "Family". She was also predeceased by her brothers Albert, Donald and Robert DiBattisto. Rita's family would like to offer a very special note of the thanks to the staff at Manchester Manor for their years of care and compassion and the Connecticut VNA Partners, Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Thursday at the Church of the Assumption, Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
