Nancy G. LaPointe, 73, of Manchester died Friday April 4, 2008 at Vernon Manor. Born in Berlin, NH she was the daughter of the late J. Oscar and Florence (Dion) LaPointe. Nancy was a 1953 graduate of East Hartford High School, a 1956 graduate of the New Britain Hospital School of Nursing, and a 1973 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State College. She had an extensive career as a registered nurse. Following her retirement she worked as the nurse at the Salvation Army's Camp Connri for many summers. She is survived by her brothers and their spouses, Donald N. and Margery LaPointe of Brooklyn, CT, and Clifford P. and Brooke LaPointe of Vancouver, WA, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Richard L. LaPointe and his wife Bertha. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (April 8th) at 11 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center Street Manchester followed by burial in St. Bridget Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10-11 am.
