Arline Doris Trefethen Maynard, of Manchester, passed away peacefully March 21, 2007 at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home, Windsor. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Donald R. Maynard, her sisters Madolyn Steiner, Mabel Doore and her brother Lloyd Trefethen. She was born on February 12, 1915 in Abbott, ME and relocated to Connecticut. She was employed by G. Fox & Co. of Hartford for twenty-five years, proudly working in the ninth floor furniture department. She was a member and past president of VFW Post 2046. Arline always had a twinkle in her eye, she was known for her sense of humor and bringing kindness wherever she went. Her smile will be remembered and missed. She is survived by her daughter and best friend Diane Johnson of Vernon with whom she shared many good years; her beloved grandchildren Brian Johnson of Willington, and Kelly Robinson and her husband Tim and their children Rachel and Ryan of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Lorraine Cloutier and her family. A special thank you to her extended family Brian, Beth, Megan, David and Peter Godwin. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 26th at 10 am at Faith Lutheran Church, 1120 Silver Lane, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
