Gary Michael Morris, 59, of Manchester and formerlly of Oklahoma, died peacefully on Tuesday (February 5, 2008) after a long illness. Gary Michael, the beloved husband of Susan Morris, was born in Bismark, ND on February 6, 1948 to George and Mary Morris. He was a retail store manager for over 30 years, ending his career in Frederick, OK in 2002, before moving with his wife to Manchester, CT. Gary Michael is survived by his wife, Susan, of Manchester; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Treana Morris, of Sierra Vista, AZ; his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa Morris and Timothy Woods, of Manchester; grandchildren Savannah and Callahan Morris and Benjamin and Allison Morris-Woods. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Pam and Bill Cornforth of Centennial, CO; his brother Vernon Morris of Bismark, ND; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 9 at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of The Assumption, on Adams Street in Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday, February 8 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at John F. Tierney Funeral Home.
