Dolores Monica (Cook) Scata, 77, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, February 1, 2008. Born April 28, 1930, in Hartford, to Walter Cook and Irene Kranyak Cook, both deceased, Dolores graduated from Buckley High School. She proudly worked at Travelers Insurance company for many years, retiring in 1999. Dolores is predeceased by Thomas Scata Sr., and was the last survivor of two sisters and a brother; Rita DiGregorio, Gerri Poinelli and Robert Cook. She is survived by her four children, Thomas Scata Jr. and his wife Martha of Orlando Fl., Mark Scata and his fiancée Jean Roy of East Hartford, Catherine Scata of Jacksonville Fl., and Tracey Cabral and her husband Derek of Tolland. She also leaves her grandchildren, Kelly Euliano and her husband Todd of Tolland, Hunter, Alexandra and Nicholas Cabral of Tolland, her two great-grandchildren, Nathanael and Victoria Euliano, her God Daughter and friend, Donna DeGregorio, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. Dolores was a resident of East Hartford for nearly 50 years, and was a faithful member of St. Roses Parish. She was a generous soul who will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to pass along their gratitude to those special people who made Dolores days a little easier, including Gina, Rose, Happy, Pam and " The Sisters ". Calling hours will be Monday, February 4, from 5 pm to 8pm, at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester. Final services will begin at Tierney's on Tuesday, February 5 at 9 am, and then proceed to St. Rose Church, located at 33 Church Street in East Hartford, for an 10am Mass and Service.
