Obituary of Mary Smith
Mary G. Smith, 86, the widow of John J. Smith, Jr. died on Friday, October 10, 2008, in Manchester. Born in Hartford, the daughter of Francis and Margaret (McMahon) Granfield. Mary had formerly lived in East Hartford before moving to Manchester twenty-five years ago. She had worked at the CT Bank and Trust Company.
Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Anita M. and Dennis Levy of Granby, her sons and daughter-in-law John J. Smith, III of Manchester, Robert F. and Cheryl Smith of Windham, NH, William J. Smith of Coventry and Timothy and Ashlee Smith of Charlotte, VT; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brother Patrick, who was killed in World War II.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October 15, 2008, at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester at 10:00 with burial in St. James Cemetery.
