Obituary of Alfred M. Thomas

Alfred M. Thomas, 88, of Manchester formerly of East Hartford the husband of Dorothy (Campbell) Thomas died Thursday (September 6, 2007) at his home. Alfred had retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after many years of service. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Sgt. Major Michael Thomas and his wife Sonpun of Schofield Barracks, Wahiawa, HI, Edward Zukauskas and his wife Jacqueline of Chicago, IL and Allen Thomas of Arizona; his step-sons John Shannon of Coventry, Steven Shannon of Manchester, Richard Shannon of Willington, and Gerald Shannon Jr. South Paris, Maine; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial with military honors in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
