John Charette MD, 51, of Steilacoom, WA the husband of Janice Stracener MD died Wednesday (August 22, 2007). Born in Manchester he was the son of Virginia (Lee) Charette and the late Gerard Charette. John was a 1974 graduate of East Catholic High School, a 1978 graduate of St. Bonaventure University and a 1988 graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences where he received his doctorate. He had retired from the US Army as Colonel. He was currently employed by the Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA. Beside his wife and mother, he is survived by his brothers Thomas Charette and his wife Rebecca of Johnstown, PA, and Michael Charette and his wife Carla of Manchester; his nephew Joshua Charette; his niece Amanda Charette and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father he was predeceased by his dogs, Amber and Jasmine. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (September 5th) at 10:30 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at the Church of the Assumption, Adams Street South, Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
