Obituary of Loretta M. "Lolly" Lupacchino

Loretta Margaret Lupacchino entered peacefully into eternal life at the age of 91 on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Crestfield Nursing and Rehab Center. Loretta was born in Manchester, CT, the daughter of the late Anna (Enes) and Thomas Shea. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clement Lupacchino, Sr.

 

Loretta, affectionately known as “Lolly”, was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Her main career was the CEO of her twelve children who she managed with faith, intuition and humor which she maintained to her last day. She was also employed in the later years as a head cashier at Stop & Shop Supermarkets in East Hartford and Manchester. She is survived by her children: Ann Marie Lupacchino of Cambridge, MA; Cathy and Dr. Leonard Yost of Lenox, MA; Marsha and Christopher Garlasco of Englewood, FL; Anthony and Cindy Lupacchino of Englewood, FL; Theresa and Darroll Gustamachio of Brewster, MA; Joan Lupacchino of Manchester; Rita and Thomas Donovan of Manchester; John Lupacchino of Manchester; Clement Jr. (Chip) and Erika Lupacchino of Tinley Park, IL; James and Kathy Lupacchino of Colonial Heights, VA; Daria Lupacchino of Oahu, HI; and Marc and Teri Lupacchino of Coventry, CT. She leaves 13 grandchildren: Mark and Tai Yost, Michael, Danny and JoDee Lupacchino, Katie Gustamachio, Kara and Brian Donovan, David Lupacchino, Erika Villenave and Joseph Lupacchino, Sarah Caldwell and Nicole May and special family friend, Elaine Harrington. She also leaves 2 great grandchildren: Blake and Levi Villenave. Loretta is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Fleming of Manchester and many nieces and nephews.

 

The Lupacchino family would like to extend their gratitude and deep appreciation to the staff at Crestfield and also to Gina Wagner, her former home caregiver for compassionately caring for Lolly.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 17th at 10:00 am at St. James Church 896 Main Street, Manchester followed by burial at St. James Cemetery. Per Loretta’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
