Daniel J. Gallagher, 90, the husband of Helen L. (Gary) Gallagher died on Friday (March 18, 2011) in Manchester. Dan was born in Providence, RI and had lived in Manchester since 1947. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and retired after thirty-two years of employment with the John Hancock Insurance Co. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Gary Daniel Gallagher and his wife Genia, Timothy Richard Gallagher and his wife Terry, Brett Joseph Gallagher and his wife Laura and Matthew J. Gallagher, seven grandchildren, his sister Sister Ellen Gallagher and a special friend Sylvia LaPenta. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (3/23) at 10:30 from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at the Church of the Assumption, Manchester with burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.
