Rena Falcetta, formerly of Manchester, passed away Monday December 6, 2010 at Woodlake at Tolland nursing home. Rena was born August 8, 1915 in Manchester, daughter of the late Antonio and Carolina (Lucarini) Falcetta, and resided in Manchester for most of her life. She attended local schools and worked for Cheney Mills and later for the State of Connecticut in the Comptroller's office before retiring. Rena is survived by a brother Eugene Falcetta and his wife Vera of Vernon, a brother-in-law Rocco Lupacchino of Manchester and several nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by three brothers Elio, Duilio, and Louis Falcetta and two sisters Sarah Lupacchino and Rose DeCiantis. Rena's family would like to thank the Hospice program for the Visiting Nurses Association for the care. There are no calling hours. Funeral service will be held on Friday (December 10th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester. Burial will be private.
