Frances M. Belanger, 81, of Manchester the wife of 63 years to Joel Belanger entered into eternal rest on Thursday (November 25, 2010). Frances was born March 10, 1929 in Caribou, ME the daughter of the late Joseph and Willa (Chapman) Gagnon. She was a parishioner of St. Bridget Church in Manchester. She volunteered for her church, and all sorts of activities that her children were involved in. She was the pillar of her family and will be missed deeply. Besides her husband Joel, in his eyes she was the greatest woman in the world, she is survived by her 3 sons, Joseph F. Belanger of Manchester, Michael J. Belanger of Vernon, Mark E. Belanger and his wife Teri of Tolland; her two daughters Mary Luchenbill and her husband Steven of Coventry, and the light of her life, her daughter Beverly Jean Belanger of Vernon, who Frances devoted her life too; and 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey and Chastity Belanger, Kelly and Edward Quick, Eric Belanger, Daniel and Sara Belanger, Joel Belanger, Sarah Luchenbill, Renee Belanger, Jacqueline Belanger, Justin Luchenbill and Patrick Belanger. Her grandchildren brought her great joy. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, Broderick, Cameron, Emily, Jordan and Ariana; 4 sisters Joyce Bryam, Wilma Gentile, Charlene Martin, Marlene Fournier, and 1 brother Frederick Gagnon, and many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Cora Belanger, and her stepfather Edward McLaughlin. Funeral service will be held on Monday (November 29th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
