Obituary of Adrien Gagnon

Adrien G. "Frenchy" Gagnon, 84, of Manchester, the husband of Rosalie (Murphy) Gagnon died Sunday (November 7, 2010) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA he was the son of the late Adelbert and Ida Gagnon. He was a US Navy veteran of WW II and had retired from the Air National Guard after twenty years of service. Following his service in the armed forces he was a tool and die maker by trade and worked in many places in and around the Manchester area. He was a member of the Manchester VFW. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Charlene Hunter and her husband John, Bonnie McHugh and her husband John, Joanne Gagnon, and Laura Medbury and her husband Bret; his step-children Hilary Gwynn and David Gwynn; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Georgette Schober and her husband Lee, Lila Farmer and her husband Robert, Connie Saylor, Paul Gagnon and his wife Dian, Mariette Kennedy and Norman and Lisa Gagnon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Lorraine Petraitis, Adelbert P. Gagnon, and Robert Gagnon. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 3 pm at the VFW Post 2046 608 East Center Street, Manchester.
