Ruth Catherine Kenton Gauruder, born August 20, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, left her earthly home to return to her Father in Heaven on October 22, 2010. Ruth is survived by her husband of 67 years, Henry Gauruder and their nine children: Lawrence, Elizabeth, William, Catherine, John, Christine, Eric, Patrick, and Jennifer. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her role as a beloved mother, Ruth also worked at Pioneer Parachute, Kings Department Store, G Fox Co, and Manchester Hospital. She spent years volunteering at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Washington DC and Jordan River, UT Temples. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 W Center St, Manchester, CT on Thursday October 28, 4-7pm. A funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 30 Woodside St, Manchester, CT on Friday October 29th, 10am with burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
