Cecilia F. "Celia" Carparelli, 94, the wife of the late Patrick A. Carparelli died on Monday (October 18, 2010) at Manchester Manor. Born in Norwich the daughter of Joseph and Sophie Kohanski (Blazejewski) she moved to East Hartford in 1956. She worked in the Norwich area at the U.S. Finishing Company and Pratt and Whitney before assuming full time homemaking duties. She was an avid crafter, cake decorator, and baker during the Christmas holidays. She was member of two bowling leagues and won several trophies and awards. She was a founding member of the Circle 8 Square Dance Club, attended many dances both local and afar, and achieved Century Club status. She participated in many activities at the South End Senior Citizens Center of East Hartford including bingo, playing cards and vacation trips. She is survived by her children and their spouses Gerri and Wayne Brault of Manchester, Michael and Marie Carparelli of Vernon and Diane and Matt Oswald of Yorktown, VA; three grandchildren Kim Christenson and her husband Steven of Westfield, MA, Laura Carparelli of Arizona and Jennifer Brault and her husband Anthony Renella of Danbury; six great-grandchildren Nicholas, Hannah, Eva, Sarah, Nolan and Jonathan; her sister-in-law Theresa Kohanski and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son Daniel J. Carparelli and seven brothers and one sister. Funeral service will be held on Saturday (October 23rd) at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church, Church Street East Hartford, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, E.
