Obituary of Frances Cascone
Frances (Tanasi) Cascone, 88, the widow of Peter Cascone died on Wednesday (October 13, 2010) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Frances was born in Hartford the daughter of Paolo and Rosa Tanasi and had lived most of her life in Hartford and East Hartford before moving to Manchester twenty years ago. She worked at Connecticut Lighting Center for many years. Frances was a true world traveler and also loved to read, knit, crochet and do the daily jumbles. She is survived by her children and their spouses Patricia and Brian Brennan of Glastonbury, Paula and William Hannon of East Hartford, Pamela and James Ball of Ledyard, and Peter Cascone Jr. and Holly of East Hartford, four grandchildren Michelle and Christina Hannon, and Paolo and Ruth Cascone. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Louis Cascone, her sisters-in-law Ernesta "Betty" Cox and Concetta Lombardo, her very close friend Debra Totedo and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her half brothers Joseph, Paul and Salvatore Genziano. Funeral services will be held on Monday (October 18th) at 10:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at the Church of the Assumption Adams St. South, Manchester followed by burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery.
