Brian E. McCartan, 62, of East Hartford, died Sunday (September 26, 2010) at Hartford Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Manchester, the son of the late Edward P. and Ann M. (Sullivan) McCartan. He was formerly employed at Willies Steakhouse in Manchester. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Marie McCartan of West Hartford, his wife Donna C. Armstrong of East Hartford, his step-daughter Kristin Armstrong of Singapore, his grandsons Brian and Drew McNally, and his sisters Ann Marie McCartan Rizza of Coventry and Sharon Robinson and her husband John of Arizona. He is also survived by his nephews Jack and Daniel Robinson and a special niece Alana Rizza and her children and many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Robert Rizza. Brian's family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Hartford Hospital Bliss 5 for their care. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:30 at the John F.
