Albert L. Townsend, 80, the husband of the late Emily (MacLean) Townsend died on Thursday (September 9, 2010) in Windsor. Albert was born in Hingham, MA the son of Leslie and Mary (Hone) Townsend and had lived in Coventry for many years. He served in the U.S. Army, was retired from United Technologies and was the Past President of the Enfield Senior League. Albert's true passion, along with his son Bob, was building and racing of stock cars. Besides his son Robert L. Townsend of Ellington he is survived by his daughter Diane (Townsend) Bercian of Wallingford. Family and friends may call at the John F.
