David L. Stewart, 78, of Glastonbury, the husband of the late Jane A. (Varnum) Stewart died Wednesday (August 25, 2010) at St. Francis Hospital. He was a US Navy veteran of twenty years and had served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, having received a Bronze Star. After 25 years as a Powerhouse Operator at Pratt & Whitney, David retired in 1993. He is survived by his children David B. Stewart of Glastonbury, Cheryl A. Totino and her husband Luigi of South Windsor, and Timothy G. Stewart and his wife Joanne of Hebron, his grandsons, Michael, Luigi, Matthew, Michael and Eric, his great-grandchildren Evan, Mia, and Kaillie, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (August 31st) at 11 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center Street Manchester followed by burial in Neipsic Cemetery, Glastonbury.
