Eileen M. Greenwood, 73, of Manchester, the wife of the late John C. Greenwood died Friday (August 20, 2010) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Vera Catherine (Rooney) Murphy. She had attended Manchester High School and worked for Connecticut Bank and Trust. She is survived by her children Teresa Greenwood of Hebron, John Greenwood of Hebron, and Jessica Cyr and her husband Michael of Andover, and her grandchildren Colton, Christopher, Megan, Scott and Eric. She is also survived by her siblings Sean Murphy, Desmond Murphy, Monica Packer, and Vera Murphy, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brother Thomas. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday (August 24th) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Maurice Church 32 Hebron Road Bolton, followed by burial in Bolton Center Cemetery.
