Obituary of Loretta Savilonis

Loretta (Whelan) Savilonis, of Manchester, the wife of 68 years to the late Stanley V. Savilonis died Saturday (July 10, 2010) at Kimberly Hall South in Windsor. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was a longtime resident of Manchester and was the owner and operator of Carriage House Beauty Salon and Boutique in the 1960's and 70's. Loretta was an avid fan of the UCONN Men's and Women's Basketball teams and enjoyed vacationing in Hampton Beach, NH. She is survived by her son Gary Savilonis and his wife Tanya of Manchester, her grandchildren Rhonda Brownbill and her husband Dean of South Windsor, Greta Vrissis and her husband Tom of East Hartford, and James Savilonis of Greenland, NH, and her great-grandchildren Gary and Cora Brownbill. She is also survived by her brothers Walter Whelan and his wife Vivian, and Charles Whelan and his wife Mary, her sister Rita Kopecki and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert Savilonis and her brother Raymond Whelan and sister Dorothy Enes. Funeral service will be held on Friday (July 16th) at 10:30 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at 11 am at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
